Don't Dream it; Be it.
If I have to explain it to you, you'll never get it. The Rocky Horror Picture Show is one of the things in life you simply must experience for yourself. It cannot be sufficiently described. If you catch yourself shaking your head in amazement or wondering at the antics of "those people", rest assured that you are as incomprehensible to us as we are to you.
If, on the other hand, you're one of "those people", Welcome!
I hope you like my selection of screen caps and juicy sounds from our favorite obsession. If you don't, whip out your own DVD and quit yer bitchin'! (Speaking of which, I love the audio commentary on The 25th Anniversary Edition DVD. Richard O'Brien sounds positively adorable and flirts shamelessly with Patricia Quinn.)
I doubt that I can add anything to the volumes that have been written about The Rocky Horror Picture Show: the most enduring audience-participation movie musical of all time, so I won't even try.
My favorite bits?
"Science Fiction: Double-Feature" - A great song that hints at the gender-bending to come with an inspired pairing of Pat Quinn's lips and Richard O'Brien's voice.
Susan Sarandon - A class act, obvious right from the start.
Tim Curry - Woof! 'Nuff said.
Fishnet stockings - there isn't a leg that isn't improved by them.
The little hip-shake between Frank and Columbia during "Sweet T."
Columbia's spunk, devotion to Eddie and totally fab look.
The floorshow. All of it!
